On the forehead of the horse with rider, from the top downwards, the phaleras show the head (or protome) of Venus, the god Mars in a position of repose and a simple empty disk with a point in the centre.
On the right hand side of the head are depicted the god Juno (above) and god Minerva (below), while on the left hand side are the god Mars (above) and the god Mercury (below).
