On the forehead of the horse without rider, from the top downwards, the phaleras depict: a head or protome of Jupiter, the god Mars in a position of repose and a protome in the form of a lion.
On the right hand side of the head are the god Minerva, (above) and the god Juno (below), while on the left hand side are the god Mars (above) and the god Mercury (below).
